ELESSAR are a 3-piece Rock/Pop band hailing from Gloucestershire, UK. Combining emotive lyrics with heavy guitar tones and dancing drums that go hand in hand. ELESSAR have set out to prove to the world that they are carving a sound unique to their own path, whilst connecting with audiences en masse, priding themselves on placing fan interaction at the top of their agenda – having formed the ‘Sad Eyes Club’, an online forum for followers of the group.
Having only formed in late 2015, ELESSAR have been touted as ones to watch, renowned by many in almost an instant of performing for the first time. Their unrelenting, energetic and passionate live shows speak volumes, having already been invited to play with some of the most explosive acts on the scene today – including the likes of Boston Manor, Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Mallory Knox, Milk Teeth & Such Gold to name but a few.
ELESSAR are no strangers to honing their craft across the country, having been invited to play such prestigious venues as The Frog and Fiddle in their hometown of Cheltenham, The Fleece in Bristol and The Flapper in Birmingham, all the way up to Glasgow for a performance at the legendary Ivory Blacks. It’s with an almost ‘take no prisoners’ attitude that ELESSAR have made it this far in such a short space of time.
It’s not without note that ELESSAR have worked with names such as Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses) for their debut EP ‘Reflections’ – and also having had the honour of working with none other than Matt O’Grady (Don Broco, You Me At Six) on the band’s latest EP ‘Is This All We Are’. ELESSAR have also had the pleasure of working on feature pieces with Discovered Magazine and Spilt Milk Magazine.
ELESSAR are proud to boast to date over 58,000 combined streams on Spotify and Apple Music, along with over 70,000 total views via their YouTube channel. With plans to release their new single ‘City Talk’ on the, these numbers are sure to only increase - showing no signs of slowing down.
The three-piece have made it clear that 2019 brings a fresh outlook on their journey, bringing with it a change of direction whilst keeping true to what brought ELESSAR together. ‘City Talk’ set out to not only prove this, but to lay claim to a new movement. With catchy riffs, heartfelt lyrics and an all over ‘poppier’ sound, ‘City Talk’ has undoubtedly changed the perspective of what you thought you already knew. The bands next single “Give it Up” plans to solidify that perspective and their intent for the future. You can see the bands intent in the playlist below.
Whilst not being the same sad boys from days gone past, it’s safe to say that ELESSAR are making moves to ensure a much, much wider audience becomes aware that when you hear them, they mean business.
And they’re not going anywhere.
THIS IS THE YEAR OF ELESSAR.
